About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Hk entry permit

will be visiting hk with my husband in November from Nigeria. How do we process our visa since there is no hk embassy in our country and Chinese embassy has stopped processing for them. secondly, how much money do we need have that will be adequate in dollars

Ella, you can send your application documents along with the cheque directly to the HK Immigration Office. The postal address is:
Receipt and Despatch Sub-unit
Hong Kong Immigration Department
2/F, Immigration Tower
7 Gloucester Road
Wan Chai, Hong Kong

The money amount is not required, but it's better if you have much money in your account.

Thanks Bob, but I am still confused as to the amount of money for the fees and in which currency should i make the cheque or draft since it is an international transaction.
Secondly, since we don't know anybody in HK, is it compulsory to have a sponsor and if we are not able to, will it affect our application?

Ella, it's OK it you don't have a sponsor there. The fee is HKD 190. You need to pay in HK dollars.

Many thanks Bob. Please what is the US dollars equivalent of HK $190 . since I am in Nigeria, I guess the bank will raise the draft in US dollars. Hope to hear from u soon.
