Joining ship in China port

Good Day

Do I need visa for transit (from airport to ship in China port via hotel over the night) as I supose to join the ship?

If your total layover time is not more than 24 hours, you don't need the transit permit. You can apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport to go outside.
