residence permit renewal process

Hello I invited my spouse and daughter to stay with me here in China. They brought physical examination and medical reports from own country, in order to avoid expensive medical check up here. They got residence permit till next year (2016 January). Is it necessary to do physical examination here, in order to renew residence permit? I have X1 and they have S1 visa here.Please remember that they do not have health insurance.Thanks

Adbul, it's necessary to do a physical examination if they want to renew the residence permit because the medical report they brought is only valid for a certain period.
