About:China Tourist Visa

My boyfriend would like to visit me in Shanghai for a month

What documents do I need to provide to invite him?
Is it easier if we just book our travel plans and provide that?
Or do we just provide an invitation from me?
I'm working here and I'm not Chinese.
Please let me low what's the best way!

Adele, if he is planning to stay at your apartment, then you need to provide an invitation letter for him, and the hotel reservations are not required. If he wants to stay at a hotel, then he can book hotels and round-trip tickets in advance so that you don't need the invitation letter. I personally think writing him the invitation letter is relatively easier.

Hello, thank you kindly. Do you have an example of this letter? What other documents do I provide with it since I'm on a working Z type here!

Adele, you don't need to follow a certain format to write this letter. As long as the letter contains your particulars, your bf's particulars as well as details about the visit, it will be OK. You may possibly also need to send a photocopy of your residence permit and passport to him.
