About:Mutianyu Great Wall

how long bus transfer takes to reach Mutianyu and what is earliest time I can catch express bus?

Also, on the way back, do I catch the same buses from the same spot back to Beijing or is the bus terminal located somewhere else? Thank you for all your useful information!

How many stops are there on the 916 express bus? I would like to make sure that I get off on the last stop as I have read that a lot of scammers in uniform come on at stops 9 and 10 to convince foreigners to get off!

Ann, there are 19 stops if you take no. 916 Express. The earliest one departs at 06:00 from Dongzhimen. It takes around 60 to 70 minutes to reach Huairou North Street, the 14th stop. Then you need to catch a van. It takes another 20 minutes. Or you can wait for the public bus (Shayu-Dongtai). It departs every 30 minutes. It brings you to Mutianyu Roundabout. On your way back, you can take the same bus to reach Huairou North Street and then catch no.916 Express.
