Easiest way up in Mt Emei. Travelling with senior citizens

Hello, I am planning to visit the mountain with to senior citizens. We want to avoid hiking so we are planning on taking the two cable cars on the way up and down. Is there any hiking or long stairs involved between the two cable car stations? How much time will I spend in the scenic area?
