can i change my x1 one entry visa to multiple entry?

I got a X1 visa to study in China but only single entry. I would like to go abroad or maybe return to my home country for holidays. Can I change my X1 to multiple entry in China? Thanks in advance!

Hello, after you enter with the X1, you can apply for a temporary residence permit within 30 days. Then you don't need to apply for new entry permit any more as long as the residence permit is valid. The reisdence permit can be used as an entry permit. So you don't need to change your X1 to a multiple-entry type.
