About:Beijing Weather in December

Shichahai Lakes and Gubei Water Village during December

I will be in Beijing during mid December. Will the lakes at Shichahai be frozen solid to enjoy skating? What about Gubei Water Village- will the village be open with lots of activities?

The skating rink in Shichahai usually opens from late December to next early February.
It's hard to say if the water will be frozen solid this year in middle December for skating. If it will be cold this winter, the rink may be open earlier. Keep an eye on it.

As for Gubei Water Town, there was indeed an ice and snow carnival be held in the past winter, and there is a great possiblity it will be held this winter too, when you can appreciate ice lanterns, and attend the temple fair. Have fun~
