About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am going to study abroad in China I have my visa.

I am in the process of booking tickets can I enter the country with a one-way ticket and purchase the return to the United States later?

Hannah, the return air ticket isn't required for applying the X type. You can go there to continue your study and then book the air ticket back to US according to your schedule.
