About:

Map of Parade Route

Do you have a map of the parade route so I know what places to avoid? Also what area's are blocked off from vechicles? I am staying in Beijing and worried I will be dragging luggage for many blocks due to vehicles not having access. Thank you

The parade will be held at Tiananmen Square. The affected/blocked off areas also include nearby Qianmen Street, Wangfujing Street, Xidan, and Chang'an Avenue.
On which day will you travel or what's your destination in that city? So we may figure out an easier transport method for you.

Oh, you have a driver to pick you up? Then it will be much easier and you can be sent to the hotel directly. Forget Tiananmen Square, it will be shut down on Sep. 2 and 3 to public. You can visit othere places like Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, and 798 Art Zone, etc.

The thing is on September 2, only the Beijing registered vehicles whose last license digit is odd will be allowed to run. So you should confirm with your driver if his/her car is allowed to run or not on that day.

I arrive 9/2 @ 1230pm...my driver is picking me up at train station. I was hoping to tour Tiananmen then driver would take me to hotel (Trader's). 9/3...grest wall thrn train @4pm back go Shanghai. Sounds like my driver will not get me to Tiananmen or hotel and i must walk. Any suggestions? Also, what site are open that are worth a visit since i cant get to Tiananmen? Thank you
