Private entry permit to Russia

Hi,

I am a citizen of Trinidad currently in China on a Multiple entry Business type. I would like to know If i can apply at the Embassy in Beijing for a dual entry private VISA. I have the original invitation and all necessary documentation. I am getting mixed reviews on the internet. I emailed the embassy and they did say yes... but I have had dealings with other Russian embassies around the world before and have had issues. Can anyone assist?
