Do we need to buy tickets in advance for shows and events for the Harbin Ice Festival?

Yes, just ask a hotel to buy ticket for you in advance. Besides, there are many scenic spots then, and some of them offer online ticket reservation like Ice and Snow World (but only in Chinese).1
