About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Hoping to bring my chinese friend on holiday to Australia

Hi. Im hoping to bring my chinese friend who lives in Anshan China on a 3 month holiday to Australia. Where would she have to go to get a visa application to apply to coming to Australia.. I hope you can give me some ideas of how to go about this.

Pam, she should apply from the AVAC according to her residence district. The mailed application is accepctable. The application form 1419, form 54, passport, recently-taken passport style photo, family book, ID card, financial standing proof, work or student certificate, and a copy of your passport are needed for the application.

Hi again. I'm doing the flight bookings here in Australia for both of Us. As I am traveling to Anshan in December 2015 to stay with my friend for a few weeks. Then hopefully return together back here to Australia once all her requirements are done.. Can you please tell me how long it takes to process a application for her roughly as I am taking time off my work here in Australia to help my friend in China do her visa requirements.also I will be looking after her here in my country and she will be staying with me at my place for the whole amount of her stay. Will she still have to show financial support if I am looking and caring for her the whole time she will be staying with me.

Pam, the process takes about ten working days. In my opinion, she had better submit the financial standing proof. If she can't provide it, you may state in the invitation that you will bear her travel expenses and submit a financial standing proof of yours.
