About:Hong Kong Visa Application

Hi guys, I'm moving to HK soon on a working visa arranged by my company.

the issue I have is my Girlfriend wants to come too but she's not got a work type. do you know any way to get a non dependant to stay for longer than 90 Days? We're not getting married so that's not an option.

Mike, US citizens enjoy 90 days free stay in HK. If you want her to stay longer than 90 days, then she can just exit HK, go to Macau and then get back again. In this way, she gains another 90 days. So there is no need to let her apply for any entry permit in advance.

However, she can't make use of the solution many times. Except going to Macau, she can apply for a L type for mainland China and go there for a visit. Then she can get back to HK again.
