currently on business visa can i change to student type in china?

My name is Achman and currently on a business type. can I change it to student type right here without going back to my country Ghana? And may I please know the procedure?

M type is a short-term one. Therefore, I think you have no choice but get back to your country to apply for the student type. Anyway, you can confirm this at local entry and exit management bureau.
