About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is it allowed to combine 2 return tickets?

1 st ticket Frankfurt - Shanghai - Frankfurt 21st August - 27 August
2nd ticket Shanghai - Tokyo - Shanghai 24th August same day return
And enjoy the 72h visa free transit 2 times, one on the stop over to tokyo and one on the return from Tokyo to Frankfurt?

Gerd, your routes are disqualified because the departure place and your final destination can't be the same country or region. Take your first route for example, you fly from Frankfurt to Shanghai and then get back to Frankfurt three days later. This isn't qualified.
