About:Marriage Registration in China

Questions regarding marriage recognition

Hi, I am a Bangladeshi and I married my China citizen wife last November in Bangladesh. I have not traveled to PRC since then and she is currently there and will come and stay with me long term soon. Our marriage is registered with the foreign ministry here, what are the steps to get the marriage recognized in China? Can I do it from the consulate here in Bangladesh. Thank you.

Leon, if you want your marriage to be recognized in China, you have to register at the civil affairs department in your wife's hometown. Before doing it, you need to notarize and authenticate your marriage book in the PRC embassy in Bangladesh.
