About:Beijing Long-Distance Bus

I would like to know how many hours from Beijing to Datong?

How many types of seats ( Front Row & Front Isle Seat) since I had a knee surgery .
My schedule is to take the earliest bus on October 26, coming back in the early afternoon bus October 27.
Please advise so I can prepay or make reservation.

As I know, in Liuliqiao Bus Station, there are direct buses to Datong. From 07:10 to 18:00, there are 16 buses available, and the bus fare is CNY142. All of the buses only have seat berth but no sleeper.

Since you have a knee problem, I think it would be uncomfortable for you to seat for a long time. Just take a train. The train ride is about 6 hours, and the train has hard sleeper and soft sleeper so that you can stretch your legs. The fare is CNY105.5 – 115 for the hard sleeper and CNY155.5 – 162 for the soft sleeper.
