Longest section of Great Wall open for tourist walking

I have some questions that would help me decide which section I will visit.
1. What's the length of Mutianyu section open for tourist walking?
2. What's the length of Badaling section open for tourist walking?
3. Is it a direct bus between Beijing and Mutianyiu Great Wall still running? If yes from where does it leave and at what time?

It is about 1.39 miles (2.25 kilometers) long open to tourists in Mutianyu section and about 2.3 miles (3.74 kilometers) in Badaling section.

The direct bus between Beijing and Mutianyu is 867, which is only from the middle of March to the middle of November. It departs at Dongzhimen Bus Station at 7:00 and 08:30 every day and turn back from Mutianyu at 14:00 and 16:00. It is a long drive, taking 2.5 to 3 hours. You'd better get to the bus station earlier to guarantee a seat.
