What is the longest term visa I can get for China?

I have been living in China for 20 years. I am in China now. I married a Chinese woman 3.5 years ago. I have 7 months remaining on my marriage visa. My wife just died from cancer. I am 73 years old and want to continue living in China indefinitely. What is the longest possible visa I can get? What do I need to do to get it? I have connections with companies here, so getting invitation letters, etc. is no problem.
Thank you so very much in advance for your kind response

You can apply for a permanent residency if you work in China for 4 years, live in China for more than 6 months every year and your income and tax payments are six times the local average.
I think you can apply for it before the current visa expires.
Or you can switch to a work visa to gain another resident permit at the local exit and entry administration.
