About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Fly to Macao via Beijing, visa issue.

I hold US passport and my route is Los Angeles to BeiJing to Macao, I will stay in Macao for 2 weeks. I don't need any entry permit at all since Macao does not require one for US passport. It is also a transition flight between Beijing and Macao; therefore I don't plan to leave the aiport.

Am I right?
Thanks.
