What are the requirements and what type of visa do I apply for?

Hello,
I will be going to China to study for more than 180 days and would like to take a long my 3 year old daughter.

Diana, you need to apply for an X1 type for yourself and an S1 for your daughter.

Documents respectively needed for both: valid passport, a photocopy of the passport's data page, filled application form attached with a personal picture

Supporting documents for X1: the original and photocopy of your admission letter and JW 201 or 202 form.

Supporting documents for S1: the original and photocopy of your daughter's birth certificate and a consent letter from his father.
