About:China Work Visa

Can I get a work permit without an academic degree?

I am about to get hired by a company in Beijing and they need to issue me a one year Z type. I've read about the process and the requirments and there is one thing I am not 100% sure about and its the degree.

In many China cities, when the employer applies work permit for foreigners, the degree certificate and proof for at least two years of working experience are required. However, it doesn't mean you can't get the work permit definitely. You can ask your employer to try the best to apply for you anyway.
