overnight and sunrise view

Hi,

I'll be arrived at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport at 7pm and plan for overnight at Mt Huashan and sunrise view the next morning. What is the best way for me to get there from airport? What is the easier way to reach the East peak? How bout the hotel? Do I need to book the hotel?

Upon arrival at Xianyang International Airport, you can take the shuttle bus to Xian Railway Station, from where you may take train or ragular bus to Mt Huashan. This is the most convenient and economical way. However, since your flight will arrive at 7pm, I am afraid that you can not get to Huashan that day as the bus to Huashan stop running at around 5pm. I suggest you stay overnight in Xian city and go to the mountain next day. When you arrive there, you may choose climb to the East Peak or take a cable car to North Peak and then walk to the East Peak. As for the hotel, you can book it in advance if you visit in high season, especially on weekends or holidays. Hope it helps.

As far as I know, the cable car to West Peak runs from 7:00 to 19:00 in high season(Mar to Nov) and from 9:00 to 17:00 in low season (Dec to next Feb).
