Please is there any specific amount of money that i can out on me or how much of money is allowed to be on passenger to travel to china?

Yes. It is regulated that RMB (Chinese Yuan) should be within 20,000RMB. If you take USD, it should be within 5,000SD. For other foreign currency, the amount should be the same value with 5,000USD.

In order to save any potential trouble, I do suggest you deposit your money in a debit card if you carry more than 5000USD. After you arrive, you can withdraw the money from ATMs.
