About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Eligible for 72-hour visa free transit?

Hi, I want to see the Great Wall of China in Beijing on a 72-hour visa free transit. All flights from the USA take me directly to Shanghai first. Am I eligible for the free transit if I land in Shanghai before landing in Beijing but I never leave the Shanghai airport? Thanks in advance.

Marie, your route isn't ok because you transit at two airports (Shanghai and Beijing).
