About:China Visa Exemption

Colombian citizen, live in China, applying for visa extension and traveling to Hong Kong

Hi, I'll go to Hong Kong after applying for my extension in Beijing. May I take my passport and leave a copy at the Entry-exit administration office? Or can I travel by train to Hong Kong with the yellow paper they give me in exchange of my passport?

Thanks a lot,
Michael Carvajal

Colombian, your passport is taken by the office during your stay. Yes, you got a receipt that can be used as your passport during your travel. However, I think it's only used in mainland. If you plan to visit HK, you should take your passport. So you should wait to get back your passport and then travel to HK.

And you should pay attention that you need to apply for another one to get back to mainland if you just get a single entry one.
