Oh, I had been there once. There are many economical hotels available, and most of them offer a price at CNY 200 around. With such price, you can get well facilitated rooms and service.

I just visited there for 9 days tour. Only one hotel we stopped at had an American flush toilet, only one had wifi and that was in the lobby (and so slow pictures wouldn't download) and non spoke English. Their level of clean is well below the standards of any of the 19 countries I have visited. I live in China 4-5 months a year and expected better.

I was disappointed in the cultural destruction done by the Chinese government in the last 7 years while building shopping malls, bars with blaring disco (24 hrs a day)and places selling "Tibetan made" drums while singing or lip syncing to the CDs available. The oldest building we saw was a temple built in the 1300s, a couple more less than 50 years old and nearly everything else less than 7 year old. I would NOT return or recommend a visit to the Disney like village.
