About:Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Gorge)

LIJIANG-TIGER LEAPING GORGE-SHANGRILA

Hello,

do you think it is possible to make a 2/3 days treking trip fro LJ to Shangrila, visiting the gorge?

Another question is, how can we make our luggage get Shangrila? we would just bring along Little backpacks for the trip.

Yes, your plan is doable. At LJ Long-distance Bus Station, you can take a bus to Hutiaoxia Town. Then hire a car to the gorge and go for trekking. It is worth to enjoy the scenic area for 1-1.5h. After that, go back to the town and take a long-distance bus to Shangri-la.

At LJ Bus Station or the downtown area, deliver your parcel through China Post or other express delivery services to Shangri-la directly to ensure you an easy travel.
