About:Shanghai Metro Ticket

Directions from hotel to PVG

which ticket type should I buy if I wld like to travel from my hotel "Courtyard by Marriott Pudong, 838 Dong Fang Roadpudong New Area, to Pudong International Airport?

How long is the commute time?
Which subway line/station should I take? What time should I leave in order to meet my 9:40am international flight?

Is it faster to take the subway or a taxi - at this time?

From the hotel, you can take subway line 2 at Century Avenue Station, get off at Pudong Airport, Exit 1. The first subway departs at 05:30. And the duration is about 50 mins with the ticket fare of CNY 6 per person. According to your departure time, you are suggested to catch the earliest subway.
Taking a taxi is faster than taking the subway at that time. It takes around half an hour. The cab fare is CNY 180 to 190.
