Returning to China via Canada

I'm a Chinese passport holder living in the UK. I'm planning to go back to China via Canada after having a tour in Canada (with a Canadian visa). Do I need to do anything with my passport if I return directly from Canada, or, I have to come back to the UK and then be back from the UK?

Many thanks.

Jie, it is not required that you should go to UK first and then get back from there. It's ok to get back from Canada directly.
