About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA passport holder, hoping to do a day trip from Hong Kong to Guangzhou without visa

I understand we won't need one to go to Hong Kong. While in Hong Kong, we plan to do a day trip to Guangzhou under the Direct Transit rule.

I suggest you book a flight from Guangzhou to a third destination so as to avail yourself of the 72-hour free transit policy.
