About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Dummy ticket to Hongkong?

Hi. I have a flight from Dubai to Shanghai and back. Since I understand this is not allowed can I just buy a one way ticket to HK within the 72 hrs but take the flight back to Dubai instead (all within the 72 hrs)

Ben, if you want to make use of the free transit policy, you had better fly to Hong Kong and then to Dubai. It's very risky if you buy the dummy ticket and directly fly back to Dubai.
