About:Beijing Taxi

How much is a taxi fare from capital Airport to Novotel Peace at night, around 1AM? (Malaysian air)

Is the surcharge included in the meter price, or is there any chance the driver will add a price to the meter (I've been cheated this way before). Thank you.

If you take a taxi at that time, the fare would be CNY100 around.
Yes, there will be surcharge included in the meter price at night, just ask the driver use the taximeter.

Hi again, and thank you for your previous answer to my question regarding arriving around 1 am at the airport. Could you tell me how I can make sure that the driver use the meter. Is there anything I can do or say to make sure they use the meter? How can I say this in chinese? I assume that the metered taxis must legally use their meter, but it's my experience that many will try to haggle out of using it, and try to charge more. Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you

Show this to the driver and he will use the taximeter: qing da biao ji fei, xie xie! The device in front of the car displaying "for hire" actually is the taximeter. You can see whether he will use it. After arriving at the destination, it will automatically print a receipt on which the info of the cab, your distance and fare is presented.
