Internatinal license doesn't work in China, you need to appy for a Chinese license through series exams and by presenting some ducuments in the local Vehicle Administration Office.1

Hi, I'd recommend the Ehi Car Services to you. It offers cars without driver. Search it online to get more info. As I heard, the international driving license is not helpful in China. You have to go to the Vehicle Adminitration Office to change a Chinese driving license with it. You also need to prepare some paperworks.1

You cannot drive in China without a Chinese drivers licence and to get this you must have a residency permit..0
