Visit Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves in late December?

Hi, I'm planning to visit Lanzhou in late December. Is it still possible to visit the Caves? I know that the barge is impossible due to the ice. But as I saw in one travel forum there was a road along the mountain leading to the site and one traveller took the road to the caves in April. Has anybody checked the latest conditions there?

I'm afraid not. I was told the attraction is only open between July to Nov. when the ferries to the caves are in servies for an easy access.
