About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need Chinese Visa- landing in Beijing on route to Bangkok for 9 nights？

Only in Beijing Airport 6-8 hours each way. Arriving from USA heading to Thailand.

No, you don't need it on both ways. You can make use of the 72 hour free transit policy.
