About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Arriving via a cruise in Beijing. Can I stay for a couple of days without a visa?

Hi, I am arriving in Beijing via a cruise next year. I would like to spend a couple of days in Beijing before flying back to Canada. Do I need a transit type or could I avail of the 72 hour free transit?

Marliu, as you enter China by cruise ship, you can't make use of the72h free transit service. You need to get a transit type entry permit before the travel.
