About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Short trip to Shanghai

Hi as a UK passport holder, is it possible to travel to Shanghai from Singapore and return back to Singapore within 72 hours?
Does this count as a visa free transit or is onward travel to another destination required?

Thanks!

No, this route is not a valid transit route. The onward travel to another destination is required to qualify for the free transit policy.
