Bus and Subway Payment in Shenzhen

Hello,

What is the payment method for transportation in the city, especially for the bus and subway. Is there any top up card like the octopus card in Hong Kong or do you have to buy a ticket for each route?

Yes, there is a transportation card named Shenzhen Tong, which can be used on the bus and subway. You can buy the card in the Customer Service Center of any subway station.
