The Terracotta Warriors were found in 1974 by a group of farmers attempting to dig a well, they came across not entire soldiers but bits of broken pieces of them.

Hope this helps!!!

Over 2, 000 years after being constructed, the terracotta army was discovered by a group of farmers digging a well. Many of the once beautifully created statues were shattered, when they were found. Archaeologists have been putting together all of the broken soldiers. They have now recreated most of the warriors. After being created the warriors were taken all over the world to many museums, for people to learn from.
Every soldier is unique and although they were actually originally painted with bright colours such as red, blue and gold, the colours have now deteriorated and are a light brown colour.
