Jose, actually it's not hot in most areas when you come in mid or end Sept. What are you interested, natural scenery or historical sites? For natural scenery, you should visit Jiuzhai Valley and take a short trip to visit Chengdu. For historical sites, you should visit Beijing and Xian.
