About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Travel from US to Singapore to Taipei to Beijing and back to US

I'm traveling from US to Singapore to Taipei to Beijing and back to the US in a couple of days. Total stay in Beijing is about 44 hours. I've been told I do not need a visa - that I am covered by this 72 hour exemption. Is this correct? Thanks in advance for your help!!

One last question for you, Mary. Must I inform the airline while en route that I plan to use the 72 hour transit?

Matt, for transit in Beijing, you don't need to inform the airline that you plan to use this policy.
