About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

No Hotel Reservation when we are on overnight train.Do we need to have hotel reserved for ALL night?

I understand we need to have hotel reservation for visa application. But we will stay 2 nights on overnight train, so we won't have hotel reservation. Is it okay showing hotel reservation not continuous? Also, we will spend the last night in a relative house. Do we need invitation just for 1 night?
Thanks.

Hey, does your relative live in PRC? If so, just ask them to write you an invitation letter. Then you needn't show any air ticket and hotel reservation. Otherwise, according to some travellers, you should provide at least 2/3 hotel reservation of your trip.

Reserving a hotel isn't difficult. You can choose to book some hotels and then cancel your reservation if you don't live.
