hello, we just found information about mounigou.

Question

Firstly we planned to go to Jiuzhaigou but since it seems to be very crowded and extremally expensive we look for alternative. We would appreciate practical information.1. How much time do we need to explore Mounigou? One or two days (we will trek, we will not use horses or electric cars)2. Accomodation- before Mounigou we will visit Songpan. To explore Mounigou we should sleep in Songpan or is there any option near to Mounigou3. Location - we can not find it on our map. What is the closest city/village4. What is the distance between Mounigou and Songpan? How much time it takes?5. Is there any publoc transport in Mounigou? We have a very low budget and we can not afford renting a driver/ taxi.

1. You need at most two days to explore Mounigou. If you trek, then two days are enough.2. Yes, you are suggested to live in Songpan, for there are very limited accommodations in Mounigou. Well, in Songpan, you can find a lot small inns available. If you really want to live in Monigou, you can go to some local family, maybe they can provide the room.3. It is located in Songpan County, and about 30 km to the south of the county downtown area. 4. The distance is about 30km, 18 miles. The car ride is about half an hour.5. There is no regular bus to Monigou, hiring a car is the best way. The fare is about CNY200 for a single journey.
