About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

DO my parents need a transit visa or is it possible to leave the airport with the ordinary passport?

My both parents have sri lankan passport. We would like to fly to Singapore via transit in beijing.

Well, if the layover time is not more than 24 hours, they do not need it. Otherwise, they need to get a transit type entry permit in advance.
