About:China Work Visa

Just married my gay husband, can he come as my dependant?

I have work in China for many years, on a Z visa, I want to bring my husband and yes I am also a man, we just got married yesterday in New York. Will the Chinese embassy grant him a S1 or Dependant based off my Z type? I know the PSB needs to see both of us together. I'm just worried.

Jakey, sincerely speaking, as China currently do not recognize your marriage, I'm afraid you may have troubles getting the S1 type. However, now that you have got the legal marriage certificate, there is still some possibility for getting it.
