Dog Health: I was born on October 1, 1982.

Hello,
I have recently been having severe gastrointestinal issues, and have been referred to a specialist. However, the wait to see the specialist is many months away. I am quite scared that there is something seriously wrong with me. Is this health issue going to pass, or does it require immediate attention?
