Upon landing, you can take shuttle bus line 3 to get to the City Railway Station first.
Then it's suggested to take a taxi to get to the South Railway Station directly.
The cab fare is around CNY 100.
Actually, the south station is not frequently used. If possible, you are advised to use the other two stations in the city.

Time is enough, no worry but no wander either.

From the main railway station, there is direct airport shuttle to airport; duration is about 60 minutes; the last departure is at 21:00; so you need to hurry up to catch it. Check the shuttle boarding point beforehand to save time: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/images/map/shaanxi/xian-railway-station.jpg

However, if the train unfortunately delays (which happens very frequently to ordinary trains), you may need to take a taxi to Xishaomen first (10 min and CNY15), then change to a shuttle to airport (interval is 15 minutes till 02:00 and duration is about 60 minutes); or if the train delays too much, you can take a taxi to airport directly and it will cost you about CNY120.

I really don't advise you to use the south Station, whose public transportation is very inconvenient.
