About:Mount Huashan

Too crowded on Mt. Huashan? I am going on July 21, 2015?

I understand that it is crowded in July and August, but it will be Tuesday. Will there really be too many people there on Tuesday? I am a little bit afraid of moving in the crowd.
I'm planning to take cable car to the West Peak, go through all the peaks to the Northern Peak and descend by the North Peak cable car. Will it be possible to avoid dangerous routes, as climbing the steep mountain? I am not going to visit the Plank Road, I want to just enjoy the beautiful views while hiking.

Thank you.

Hi, it will be during the summer vacation in China, so there will be a lot of visitors. At the same time, it is during the hottest time then, hence the crowds won’t be very crazy. Take it easy!

Your plan is perfect for sightseeing and you will have a good view. But in this way, not all dangerous passed would be avoided. For example, you have to pass the Black Dragon Ridge to North Peak. I also remember the Heavenly Ladder is a must-pass on the way to the East Peak. Anyway, the directions boards are clear on the mountain. You can follow the signs to avoid as many as dangerous passes.
